STARTING WITH GOD,
EXODUS 2:11-15;
3:1-10; 4:1-4
1. Moses’
attempt to deliver
the children of
Israel
All of us are born
with a mission and
usually there is an
urge in us that
drive us to our
calling. Like Moses,
you may have felt a
calling; as a
result, you have
decided to do things
that have resulted
into problems like
Moses who ended up
killing an Egyptian.
Exodus 2:12.
2. Moses
invited to start
afresh with God
After an untimely
attempt to deliver
the children of
Israel, which made
Moses to flee for
his life, God
appeared to Moses
and told him to
start afresh. Like
Moses, a lot of us
are in a hurry to do
things our way, as a
matter of fact, we
place ourselves
ahead of God’s
schedule. Until your
time comes God will
not allow you to
out-run his time.
3.
Starting what you
have
God does not put
limits for you. You
can go as far as you
like with him. The
only thing God is
asking is ‘what can
I work with to
develop your life?’
He asked Moses what
do you have in your
hands?
And the Lord said
unto him, what is
that in thine hands?
A rod! He answered.
And God said, cast
it on the ground.
And he cast it on
the ground and it
became a serpent,
and Moses fled from
before it. Exodus
4:2-3. God is
telling you to give
Him what you have.
It could be a
talent, your skill,
money or anything
that you are
possessing, He is
asking you to give
Him that thing so
that your life
should change.
This year God is
telling you to
forget all your
failures and
position yourself to
start afresh with
Him and you will not
be put to shame
instead you will
fulfill God’s
promises for your
life. The time has
come and you are
starting afresh but
this time with God
almighty and your
end will be
glorious.
